Having overseen the implementation of innovative healthcare strategies into clinical and operational workflows for some of North America’s most prestigious healthcare institutions, Teresa DeLappe has joined Holyoke, Massachusetts-based healthcare IT consultancy VertitechIT as a Senior Consultant. DeLappe was the Founder and President of DeLappe Consulting where she championed the design, marketing, and launch of strategic business, technology, and clinical initiatives for Sutter Health System, Seattle Children’s Hospital, St Charles Healthcare, Airlift Northwest, Harborview Medical Center and Baystate Health System.
“As we expand our services to healthcare systems across the country, it’s critical that we expand our capabilities well beyond IT infrastructure,” says VertitechIT founder Michael Feld. “Technology is at the core of healthcare delivery but it’s equally important to implement the proper processes to allow clinicians to utilize that technology to improve the quality of care.”
DeLappe’s trademarked strategy “Beyond the Technology Management™ (BTM) encompasses an approach that recognizes that while technology is often the catalyst for change, it is only one of the many tools and influences built into the human aspect of delivering healthcare. “To be successful in achieving full adoption and interoperability of technology into workflows, you must first recognize the relationship between the technology and the human factor,” says DeLappe. “With that knowledge, we can build a deployment strategy that optimizes the deployment, adoption and optimization of innovative technologies within the clinical workflow.”
Teresa holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Washington State University and resides in Maple Valley, WA with her husband and 3 children.
